Slim pickns in this area. I would go farther north or south for a better selection. Room was clean.
Our suite (two beds and a pull out couch) was $189 a night and here's what we got: limited hot water, phones don't work when we needed to call for maintenance, water leak in bathroom wall with mold growing, spa doesn't work, washer doesn't work in laundry room, no response to maintenance requests, breakfast in the morning was good. They've done limited renovations but sadly the management and upkeep has failed. Honestly I didn't mind staying here before the minimal renovations because it was reasonably priced. But at $200+ a night with taxes this is NOT what we would expect. I'd rather stay at a Hilton product about 15 miles away and know the rooms are maintained, things work and the company cares about repeat business, and save about $70 a night. One saving grace was the wonderful young lady working the counter, Abigail. She was pleasant, professional and helpful. She clearly is doing the best she can.
I don't usually do reveiws but we enjoyed our stay here. It was only for a over night. The rooms where very clean and comfortable, new beds and sheets blankets. Pool and hot tub was clean and maintained. The grounds where clean, no trash. And the lady up front Abigail (spelling?) Was the most helpful and so nice. She even checked in with us to make sure we were happy with our room.
She came with us to observe the 1st rooms issues, which she took pictures and sent to the owner. The second room also had pubic hair and urine all over the bathroom, dirty carpet, etc... Horribly strong smell of cigarettes that made us gag (and we're smokers). I can only imagine what these rooms would look like under a UV light.
1 Star is being generous. Woman at counter was nice but that's our only positive experience here. First room we checked into had pubic hair all over the toilet as well as a collection of urine sitting on the seat and behind it. The sheet on the bed either had a Hershey bar melt or someones feces smeared across it. Dog hair all over the carpet. Room smelled like cigarettes.
After the 2nd room, magically the no refund policy was lifted after the front desk lady called the owner.
I would not recommend staying here. We felt so dirty the 30 minutes we were there. Seems very unsafe also. Certainly a place for drug deals and hookers based on the conditions, trash, and beer cans scattered around the property.
The hotel was pretty standard. The room was clean and the breakfast was ok. Close to several places to ea t as well. It was quiet with plenty of parking for our truck and large trailer.
Called the front desk, she apologized and asked us to come back to lobby for a new room. Asked for a refund, was told there is a no refund policy and was given a 2nd room, right beside our previous room.
